The Varsity "B" Team(2)

    It started with tryouts- the best going to the A- team, and those leftover to the B.  The coaches: Mr. Henderson for our team and Mr. Zober for the other.  A winning formula- or so we thought.  Both teams started off slow, but the other one took off, while we waited to get off the ground.  First, we lost to Annunciation, and this isn't an excuse, but it helped them to have a kid who was about 6'11" who out-rebounded us around 6 to1.  Then we plunged into the tournaments: an overtime loss to St. Thomas that included a lucky- chuck from trey land at the LAST SECOND OF REGULATION!  The next day, we had similar loss that included a last second three to St. Joes.  Three hours later we won in a blowout by about 30 points- so far it's our only win.  The next day, we  lost to Sacred Hearts other B- Team in the St. Thomas Tournament.  Since that time, we've lost to two St. Denis teams, the other St. Thomas team, and St. Margaret, each time not a blowout, but not particularly close, either.  The teams biggest problems are careless passes and dribbling to much.  With practice it will come, and we should win by the end of the season.
