‘A PARISH FAMILY PICNIC FOR THE ENTIRE SACRED HEART COMMUNITY’

 

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2002

1 p.m. till 7 p.m.

MERRYY PLACE @ GLENDALE PARK

 

NO ADMISSION CHARGE & MOST OF THE EVENTS AND GAMES ARE FREE

 

FOR A NOMINAL CHARGE….

            We’ll have Hot dogs and snacks all day….  the Salad bar, Burgers, Grilled BBQ Chicken, and Pig Roast will start around 3 p.m. ….

            If you have a favorite dessert, we’d love to try it!  Just bring it in a disposable container and we’ll let everyone try it at the dessert tent.

 

SODA WILL BE PROVIDED OR BRING YOUR OWN BEVERAGE

 

FOR THE CHILDREN….

            All of the Merry Place facilities, plus Moon Bounce, Fish Pond, races w/ prizes, and the Clowns arrive around 1:30….

FOR THE ADOLESCENTS….

            Rate your throwing speed against a radar gun, a bungee game, the 2- Ball tournament, volleyball, relay races, the Youth Group tent w/ tie-dye shirts, a DJ, and much more….

FOR THE ADULTS….

            All the above, plus… The DeLaSalle String Orchestra @ 2:30, a Quiz-O (trivia) game tournament for adults @ 4:30 w/prizes, and THE EAGLES VS DALLAS GAME WILL BE AVAILABLE ON AT LEAST 3 TV’S THROUGHOUT THE PARK!

Or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful park and talk with your fellow parishioners!

 

The Haverford Township Fire and Police Departments will be represented

With Fire Trucks and Police Special Units.

 

THERE IS LIMITED PARKING and parking @ the Recreation Building (across from the park) will be open only for the entertainers and emergency personnel.

SHUTTLE SERVICE IS AVAILABLE A Bus will pick up @ the Sacred Heart School Yard starting around 1 p.m. (when Mass parking is completed.) and will drop off at Merry Place.

This Shuttle Service will continue, all day in 20-minute intervals.

So, come and park at the Church and School lots and leave the driving to us!

There are many places to sit at the Park but feel free to bring a lawn chair with you on the bus.

Father Mckee is the chairperson of the Weather Committee and a pleasant day is guaranteed!
